The American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC/M) has elected Matt Stacey, PE, our Transportation Market Segment Lead, to serve on its Board of Directors from 2021 to 2024. The 16-member Board is comprised of leaders and advocates for the civil engineering consulting industry. Matt has actively participated in ACEC/M for the past 18 years. He chairs the joint Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT)/ACEC/M Contracts Committee and is a member of the Transportation Committee which he chaired for 2 years. He previously served on the Small Business Sub-Committee and various task forces for special projects.

Matt designs and manages large transportation projects including freeways, boulevards, collector roads, and minor and major arterials. Over the past 27 years, he has worked extensively with MDOT and state and local entities. His expertise includes road design, complete streets implementation, green infrastructure, traffic and construction engineering, and quality assurance/control review.
