A Miami-based utility added a new high-pressure service to support the expansion of a cement and aggregate production facility. As part of the multi-phased extension project, Wade Trim provided on-site survey which included a subsurface utility engineering (SUE) Level B investigation, design, construction observation, and as-built services for the 2,100-foot, 12-inch-diameter, steel pipeline. Plans included a piping and instrument diagram (P&ID) for the meter and regulating (M&R) station along with site/civil, grading, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering components. A skid-mounted M&R station was designed, fabricated, and delivered to the site. Bi-weekly project meetings and close coordination with plant operations was critical to meeting the aggressive project schedule.
