Yancey Molner has joined as Power Area Lead, where he will focus on expanding our work with electric distribution and transmission companies on infrastructure development and construction oversight projects, as well as developing the Power division of our growing Energy Group. Drawing on 35 years of experience with power utilities, Yancey brings expertise in GIS and asset and work management, as well as permitting, engineering design, construction inspection, mapping, remote sensing, and project management.
Yancey previously served in various executive leadership roles for major utility, engineering, and environmental companies, as well as governmental departments. He has led teams across North America and globally to grow business sectors and practices through personnel and project management, mentorship, recruiting, and strategic planning. Yancey led the execution of Florida Power & Light’s Enterprise GIS and Asset Management programs, which required development of a state-of-the-art system that manages asset data across the state. The programs feed enterprise applications and systems to support engineering, outage management, trouble calls, distribution management, and field mobility. Yancey also grew two global engineering design business units that completed major projects including refineries, booster stations, substations, power plants, and offshore floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Yancey holds a bachelor’s degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Urban Planning. His specialized training includes GE Smallworld GIS, Esri ArcGIS, Intergraph PDS, SmartPlant, and Rebis AutoPlant.
