Gary Emmel, PE, has joined our Water Resources Group as a Senior Process Engineer in Atlanta where he will focus on serving large water utilities throughout the Southeast. He has 37 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems, and thermal systems.
A long-time Georgia resident, Gary has managed and designed water and wastewater treatment projects for Gwinnett and Fulton Counties and the City of Atlanta. Valued for his problem-solving work approach, he has overseen projects large and small, ranging from upgrades to treatment plants, storage tanks, and pump stations, to thermal oxidizer systems for off-gases and waste liquids in chemical facilities. Gary is a member of the Georgia Association of Water Professionals and the Water Environment Federation. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
