Wade Trim’s stewardship core value is demonstrated through employee contributions to our profession and the communities we work in. Mark Coleman, a Senior Project Manager in our Detroit office, has exemplified stewardship throughout his 40-year career with Wade Trim. His professional contributions span leadership roles in the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and its Michigan section, as well as involvement in the Water Environment Federation and the Michigan Water Environment Association.
One of Mark’s community passions has been volunteering at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit for the past 20 years, where he has assisted with prepping, cooking and serving food to those in need. In addition, he and his wife, Margie, stack food shelves and package bulk produce at the Capuchin warehouse for distribution to local families, and sort baked goods to be delivered to the two Capuchin soup kitchens in the Detroit area. In recognition of Mark’s upcoming retirement and the contributions he has made to Wade Trim and living our values, we donated to the Kitchen to support their valued work in the community.
Mark built his career planning, designing and constructing water, wastewater and stormwater projects for municipalities and utilities. Large-scale wet weather improvement programs have been a focus in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Omaha, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and New York. As a key technical advisor on water resources projects, Mark draws on his comprehensive experience to provide insights on how to develop innovative approaches, achieve cost savings, and enhance constructability.
