Sean Beckman, PE, has joined as Community Design Area Lead in Grand Rapids where he is expanding our engineering and planning work with municipal clients in Central and West Michigan. He brings over 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects for municipal and private clients, specializing in underground utilities, stormwater management, roadways, and non-motorized facilities. He is also well versed in construction engineering and management, site planning and development, and helping clients secure funding for infrastructure improvement projects.

After starting his career at Wade Trim, Sean has served as project manager and technical leader for other consultants working on infrastructure projects across 20 states. He has managed numerous continuing services contracts for municipalities throughout Michigan, and served as lead civil engineer on multiple projects for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Sean enjoys leading multi-disciplinary teams to provide community-focused solutions, developing client relationships through open and honest communication, and delivering quality projects.

Sean is an active member of the American Public Works Association and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
