Chippewa Nature Center, Midland, MI
Chippewa Valley Nature Center’s mission is to connect all people with nature through educational, recreational and cultural experiences.
Program Supported by Wade Trim Foundation Grant: Investing in Youth: Nature Study and STEM Equipment. The equipment purchased helps CNC provide high-quality recreation and STEM education programs to youth so they can feel comfortable and confident as they explore outdoor spaces.

Downtown Small Business Association, Flint, MI
The Downtown Small Business Association is a flexible, fluid, responsive, and action-oriented group of downtown stakeholders dedicated to the enhancement of business, entertainment, and cultural opportunities in the Downtown Business District of Flint, MI.
Project Supported by Wade Trim Foundation Grant: The 2023 TREEmendous Tree Lighting Ceremony, an event held to continue the revitalization of Flint, MI and engage Genesee County with the downtown community.
“The live reindeer at the event were a big hit with the kids because they could feed them nuts! It was a wonderful and engaging event that Flint residents really needed.”
Heritage Park Petting Farm, Taylor, MI
The Heritage Park Petting Farm aims to create a safe space for animals and an educational and recreational space for the community to visit and learn about them.
Program Supported by Wade Trim Foundation Grant: The Poultry Pasture, a designated housing and viewing space for rescued turkey, geese, pheasant, quail, peafowl, and guinea fowl.
“We look forward to showcasing more animals in comfortable enclosures and teaching our community about farming, while also providing them with a recreational opportunity to be outside and in nature.”
Pepin Academies, Tampa, FL
Pepin Academies special education schools offer comprehensive programs tailored to students with learning disabilities in Tampa, Riverview and New Port Richey. From individualized instruction to career readiness and extracurricular activities, Pepin Academies programs empower students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
Project Supported by Wade Trim Foundation Grant: Campus Beautification Initiative. Funds were used to replace safety window tinting at the front of the school to create a more inviting space for both students and the surrounding community.
“We are a proud member of the East Tampa community, and the Wade Trim grant has allowed us to make improvements to the school’s facade, maintain an attractive yet safe learning environment for our students with disabilities, and present a location that reflects our pride in our community.”
Tutoring Chicago, Chicago, IL
Tutoring Chicago provides one-to-one relationships for students with supportive tutors, so students facing economic barriers can access brighter futures.
Program Supported by Wade Trim Foundation Grant: Supporting High School Transition for Students Facing Economic Barriers, a one-on-one tutoring for students from low-income backgrounds to help prepare them for high school.
“Our programs are once again serving over 500 students and will continue to serve students for years to come. The growth and expansion of our programming is only possible through the support of community partners like Wade Trim Foundation.”
