In partnership with the University of Michigan College of Engineering, Wade Trim established the Frank M. Tymowski Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2016. Named in honor of Frank Tymowski, a Wade Trim Principal, former Wade Trim President and CEO, and University of Michigan alumnus, the scholarship provides need-based financial support to minority undergraduate students from Michigan studying civil and environmental engineering. Livia Gotham, an Environmental Engineering student, has been awarded a scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. She has also accepted an internship with our Community Design team in Flint, where she will contribute her talents beginning in spring 2025.

Michigan Engineering highlights the value of such scholarships, stating, “Investments in our students through scholarships and fellowships allow us to recognize their achievements, create opportunities for growth, and enrich the educational experience for the next generation of engineers. This critical support enables them to focus more on their studies, engage in extracurricular activities, and develop as learners and leaders.”

The Frank M. Tymowski Endowed Scholarship Fund continues to strengthen opportunities for aspiring engineers like Livia as they prepare to shape the future of civil and environmental engineering. It also enables Wade Trim to reach out to prospective employees and promote diverse workplaces.
