Our President/CEO, Andy McCune, PE, has been elected to serve as a Vice Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Executive Committee for 2025-2027. He was nominated by the ACEC of Michigan’s Board of Directors and interviewed and nominated by the ACEC Nominating Committee. The Executive Committee is the governing body of the coalition, elected by the membership, to set strategies and policies, and oversee activities and programs to ensure long-term success, in accordance with guidelines outlined in the bylaws. Andy’s election will be approved by the ACEC Board of Directors at the 2025 Annual Convention and Legislative Summit in May in Washington, DC.
ACEC represents nearly 6,000 engineering firms and affiliate members, employing over 600,000 engineers, surveyors, architects, and specialists who design and improve our world. Through advocacy, education, and research, the organization works locally and nationally to promote economic growth and improve quality of life. They also generate industry-leading research and insights through the ACEC Research Institute and host the industry’s leading awards program, the annual Engineering Excellence Awards.

Andy has a long history of involvement in ACEC and ACEC of Michigan (ACEC/M). With more than 21 years of involvement at the national level, he was inducted into the ACEC College of Fellows and appointed to the ACEC Research Institute Board of Directors. He has served on several committees including Transportation, Water and Environment, Management Practices, Risk Management, Business Resources and Education, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. On the state level, Andy served for several years on ACEC/M’s Board of Directors, holding various roles including Treasurer and President. He has been on the Alumni Committee the past 13 years, previously serving twice as Chair. Andy also supports multiple member organization initiatives, including scholarship programs, legislative endeavors, the ACEC/M Engineering and Surveying Excellence Awards Gala, and other ACEC/M-led events.
